Descrição
There are few artists as tireless and consistently groundbreaking as Thurston Moore. A man whose unpredictable aural adventures with Sonic Youth became the blueprint for the rise of indie rock, Moore’s restless collaborative spirit has also seen him fashion a place for himself in the worlds of noise rock, post-punk, hardcore and no wave.
Touring on the back of his magisterial 2011 solo LP, Demolished Thoughts, this is Thurston Moore as he’s never been before – acoustic and raw, surrounded by harp and violin, singing folk-like songs on fleeting happiness and the steady ebb of time.
This concert is a rare opportunity to hear the new Thurston live: achingly beautiful, yet still crackling with the electric charge and anthemic sprawl that came to define the sound of a generation.
'American fringe music boasts no figurehead as prominent or as potent as Thurston Moore.’ – Pitchfork (USA)
‘Demolished Thoughts is as immediate and form-warping as Moore's work with Sonic Youth. Moore has added another great line to an overwhelming résumé.’ – Pitchfork (USA)
‘There is high-speed dirt and driving psychedelia, but the most avant-garde quality is its gentle assertion of detail.’ – Rolling Stone (USA)
