eelharas this show was completely amazing! although I did get mildly drizzled on and it was really sticky since I staked out a spot for 4 hours it was the best free show I've ever been to, the orchestra and the Decemberist's dramatic antics were perfect! me and my friend did get carried away a bit by dressing like pirates though

Seriously, you knew what you were getting yourself into coming to this show. I sure wish people would never use that word again. I had forgotten how good the Tain was. I had goosebumps just up and down my arms. What-a-show!

Flash5 The orhestra part was a little disappointing. The encore was amazing though. The storm was perfect for The Mariner's Revenge Song.

laurenrad Did i mention how much i can't stand the fact that they have with Chicago Symphony Orchestra on their myspace? It's completely misleading, I wish they would fix it and change it to Grant Park. There is a difference! ;[

Since Metro (www.metrochicago.com) is putting on the event, you should check their website/blog as the date gets closer. It's a safe bet that they have some sort of contest or giveaway up their sleeves.

mdoherty2005 Basically all of the events held in Millennium Park are free (at least lawn seats anyway) save for the ones held in the Harris Theater... However I wonder how you score the pavillion seating???
