we knew this day would come.
two tip-toe sounds from afar in the dark
where everything springs to life,
into light and day
whilst smashing a bucket,
beeping mouths,

holding something like a real nasty bastardy guitar.
the two that call themselves schnaak.

drummy sort of drums,
guitary sort of guitar,
but what is that beat,
what is that bass they’re making,
what’s the klick-klack beep-ee-eep?

it’s been a while now for schnaak to evolve from furry factory noise sessions of the 4 songs they played for one
year solid. initially they rubbed faces in persistence that said “get used to it”. the bucket has been proper band
member since the first day, comfortably embedded amongst the two. the two, with the four arms, two that stroke the
wire, the other holding the wood. they make fire from amplifires, they know how to do that and cook human flesh over
it, nicely.

a while later the schnaak has lived up and loves the hip-hop beats and african rhythms, tho still working deep down
in a factory of noise, but adjusting their machines nicely to sing along.

YOK-pocketpunk an quetsche und ukulele

Yok spielt Songs, spricht Texte und zündelt dabei an der Musik.
Er singt mit der grundsätzlichen Haltung der Verweigerung aus der Perspektive eines Taxifahrers, der seine Wurzeln in der radikalen Linken hat. Die Texte verhandeln, ziehen Grenzen und Konsequenzen, treten weg und träumen vor. War er von 1989 – 1994 als “Quetschenpaua” unterwegs und drehte er seine Runden von 1995 – 1999 mit der Politpunkband “Tod und Mordschlag”, so ist er heute auch immer noch Teil des Musiktheaterkollektivs “Revolte Springen” und pflegt mit seiner Band “option weg” das Motto TRÜMMER/TRÄUME/TRASH. Seine “Solo-pocketpunk-show” bietet auch 2011 noch facettenreiche inhaltliche Subkultur an Ukulele, pocketdrums und
Quetsche.
