A two-day festival at a horse racing track in Pimlico, MD, Saturday and Sunday, open 10 to 10. Music started at noon and didn’t stop all day! There were two stages, the North Stage and South Stage, and a dance tent, also with live music.Saturday was extremely hot, with temperatures hitting about 100 degrees Fahrenheit (almost 38 degrees Celsius). Food and drink booths lined up and down the infield area, and there was a village where you could buy souvenirs and look at non-profit organizations.
The frozen drink of the festival was Southern Comfort’s Frozen Hurricane. Most people chose water, due to the heat. Saturday was definitely the busiest day, and Beastie Boys appeared to draw the largest crowd. Sunday was met with cooler temperatures and the threat of rain, which it did! It rained during Interpol, and stopped as The Smashing Pumpkins came on!

Man, TV and the Radio was badass, and the Yeah Yeah Yeah put on the best set (excluding the reformed bands that played, which I won't mention because no one would know them). It was sucky hot, but so was music, and the guy listening to it!

I was excited Fountains of Wayne and Cheap Trick were back to back! Incubus was pretty good, Interpol was also good, Beastie Boys drew a huge crowd, and I loved The Police set with SOS first--they performed that well!

i loved the virgin fest! i had front row up to the bar at the north stage for both days!! and front row for girl talk who touched my hand! matisyahu threw me a water bottle and my best friends as incubus's drumstick! and i have a cheap trick pick. everything was soooo gooooddd!

The Pumpkins were decent to good. Explosions in the Sky were probably the best of the weekend though.

i think the Pumpkins were fucking amazing. i also loved Interpol. out of the 2 days, those were probably my 2 favorite acts. Beasties were pretty awesome, too.
