Mon 13 Sep – Pavement, No Age
Story time! Its been far too long since I’ve written about any concert-going experience. I certainly haven’t stopped going to shows; quite the contrary in fact. Seems like I used to write up a review for every single show I went to, then just the festivals, then nothing. I didn’t even write anything about the Pitchfork Festival this year. However, Pavement (at Millennium Park, not at Pitchfork) does require a lengthy synopsis.
For as long as I’ve been a Pavement fan, I never expected to see them live, let alone twice in one summer. Their set at Pitchfork was good, but with such an overwhelmingly large crowd, it just wasn’t very personal. I’d heard about the Millennium Park show when it was announced, but didn’t buy tickets because I work third shift (currently anyway) and figured “meh, I got to see them. Good enough. …
