“Popular electronic musician Girl Talk will get Purdue University dancing next month.

The project by Pittsburgh native Greg Gillis, 28, is known for digital samplings and creating mash-ups of preexisting songs. He will headline the free Grand Alternative concert slated for 5 p.m. April 18 at Slater Center, Stadium Street on the Purdue University campus.

Donations for Haiti relief will be accepted through the American Red Cross and Purdue Haiti Relief fund.

Opening for Girl Talk will be Kansas City, Mo., electro pop trio Antennas Up and hip-hop artist Hollywood Holt, who hails from Chicago.

The show is put on by Purdue Student Government.”

    Yes- it's technically for Purdue students, but as stated by Squidtech: it's at an outdoor, ungated amphitheater situated at the bottom of a hill on the university campus. No tickets required.

    I think it's technically for Purdue Students and It's being run by one of our residence halls. So it may even be restricted to those who live in the halls. That said, it's a free concert and the Slater Hill amphitheater is outdoors and is not gated in any way. I'd say, you could just show up and have no problem seeing the show.

    I go to IUPUI too. I'm going, and it's free, so I don't think it's for Purdue students only.
