For me, Sophie Ellis-Bextor was the artist of year. She didn't put out an album, but the three singles she released (or was featured in) were AMAZING!
Christina, Gaga and Rihanna had an amazing year in music, too. Some of them weren't commercially successful, but that doesn't mean the material they put out was bad. But anyways, here my top ten for this year:

On a different note, out of all the concerts I attended this year, Lady Gaga had the best show. Great setlis+great stage/props+a story line=AMAZINGNESS.
