Sharing an affinity for analog technology and repurposing found source materials, video artist Lisa Slodki and FSS recording artists Haptic have collaborated over the past two years to create a series of real-time, improvised, audiovisual performance environments. From Nov. 6-29, 2009 at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, they will create an evolving mix of sound and projected imagery for the museum’s 12x12 series. The visual and auditory components of the performance will each mirror, echo, and feed off one another.
Haptic and Slodki will perform together in the 12x12 gallery space on Nov. 10, 17 and 24. Those live performances will generate the sound and visuals that “power” the installation in the gallery space for the remaining days of November.
