Scopitones are pleased to announce some of the support bands scheduled to appear at “At The Edge Of The Sea” - The Wedding Present’s own all-day festival this summer.

The event, which is named in honour of the Wedding Present song of the same name, will run from 3PM until 10PM on Saturday 22 August 2009. David Gedge has curated and will be MC-ing the whole shebang, which takes place at Concorde 2, right on the Brighton seafront.

The following artists will be also appearing at the festival:

The Pipettes
Frank Sidebottom
Human
Astrid Williamson
Terry de Castro

The festival will kick off at 3PM with an acoustic set from Cinerama and, throughout the day. DJ-ing will be provided by Wedding Present members old and new including Shaun Charman, Graeme Ramsay and David Gedge himself.

With a recession beating ticket price pegged at just £15 this must be the bargain festival of the year, especially as we hope to add even more artistes to this list!
