Now on to my quick remarks. Ignoring the surprisingly boisterous, rude, and trashy crowd (worst concert crowd I've ever witnessed) the show was a success. The opening band was a lot of fun, though regrettably I can not recall their name. A little help please? I'm not a particular fan of Nelson or Mellencamp, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices, ne? Anyway, Dylan opened on guitar for the first two tracks, which was a pleasant surprise. He was very active and playful all night, and unbelievably clear and articulate with vocals. Also, while the arrangements were not totally off the wall (every song was pretty clear what it was right away) nothing was done on autopilot. Dylan and his band cared about their performances tonight, and they were in top form. There was a particularly good performance of Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (5th song) which I really enjoyed.

Well, to first address previous shouts 1. He certainly did play tracks from Together Through Life, two of em in fact. I was certainly excited when I heard them start. 2. Willie played well past his allotted time and it was very clear handlers were trying to get him off, and everyone including his band (except Willie himself) were aware of this. Quite comical actually. John therefore played a shorter set. They did not all play together. 3. This was relatively inexpensive. First time I saw him play was as the Virgin Mobile Fest and those tickets were over $200 I believe.
